Business Development Manager East Coast

The Business Development Manager East Coast is responsible for the development and cultivation of Medial OEM’s that use custom molded and extruded silicone components, polysioprene and other eastomers, from lead generation through close of business and actively managing for profitability after close of business. The territory covers the East Coast/New England Area.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Responsible for identifying target opportunities in the Medical Industry that use custom molded or extruded silicone and organic elastomers then driving and managing these opportunities.
  • Responsible for communicating and reporting activities, itineraries, and program developments.
  • Develop a database of qualified leads and customers through referrals, telephone canvassing and cold calling, face to face visits, email, networking, and trade shows.
  • Managment reports such as Business Development Sales Funnel, Forecast, etc
  • Demonstrate the ability to carry on business communication with both engineering and purchasing people and all levels within the customer.
  • Weekly reporting of sales activity
  • Work closely with VP of Sales to increase sales year over year.

Qualifications

Education/certification
  • Associates/B.A/B.S Degree preferred
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Medical Industry or Silicon/Rubber Industry.
Required Knowledge
  • Successful Sales of Engineering history in Medical Device OEM/Contract Manufaturing
  • Technical Knowledge of Silicone and Rubber Elastomers
  • Strong Technical, Analytical, and/or Problem Solving and Field Mgmt Skills

  • 50% Travel Required (utilizing effective travel practices)
